Motorola Announces Moto E and Moto G with LTE

Motorola has introduced 4G LTE capable Moto E and Moto G. Moto E has a high-resolution 4.3” display with 256ppi, 1980 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.2, KitKat.

Moto E features Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 200 processor with dual-core CPU and 1GB RAM, 5MP rear-facing camera, microSD slot for up to 32GB of expandable memory and built-in FM radio.

Jelly Bean Has Largest Android Device Share

Google has announced Android device share data for this year. Based on the released data, Jelly Bean has largest share with 4.1.x @ 35.9%. This data is based on devices running the latest Google Play Store app, which are compatible with Android 2.2 and higher.

KitKat is ramping up with 1.4% share so far while Ice Cream Sandwich has usage of 16.9%.

Moto G Gets Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Motorola has started to roll out Android 4.4.2, KitKat—the very latest version on Moto G. At the launch of Moto G last month, company had committed to delivering Android, KitKat, to devices by early 2014. Motorola is rolling out Android 4.4.2 to Moto G phones in the U.S. KitKat will come to other Moto G carriers and regions soon as well.
