Jelly Bean Has Largest Android Device Share

Google has announced Android device share data for this year. Based on the released data, Jelly Bean has largest share with 4.1.x @ 35.9%. This data is based on devices running the latest Google Play Store app, which are compatible with Android 2.2 and higher.

KitKat is ramping up with 1.4% share so far while Ice Cream Sandwich has usage of 16.9%.

Samsung Electronics Co., has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO line of tablets at CES 2014 in Las Vegas. Company aims to satisfy every possible type of user case scenario with these tablets. The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO have 12.2-inch WQXGA Widescreen (16:10) display and offer a resolution of 2560x1600 with more than 4 million pixels. 

Moto G Gets Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Motorola has started to roll out Android 4.4.2, KitKat—the very latest version on Moto G. At the launch of Moto G last month, company had committed to delivering Android, KitKat, to devices by early 2014. Motorola is rolling out Android 4.4.2 to Moto G phones in the U.S. KitKat will come to other Moto G carriers and regions soon as well.

LG to Unveil Chromebase in CES 2014

LG Electronics (LG) plans to introduce Chromebase, an all-in-one computer powered by the Google Chrome operating system at next month’s  2014 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Apple today announced iPad Air, featuring a 9.7-inch Retina display in a thinner and lighter design and weighing just one pound. Apple also announced a new iPad mini with Retina display, bringing all the pixels from the 9.7-inch iPad to its 7.9-inch screen. Both new iPad models feature Apple-designed A7 chip with 64-bit desktop-class architecture, built-in Wi-Fi and expanded LTE cellular connectivity, and iOS 7.

ZTE to sell ZTE Open Firefox OS phone on eBay

ZTE plans to start sales of the ZTE Open Firefox OS phone soon on the ZTE store on eBay US and UK. Recently launched with Telefónica in Spain, Venezuela and Colombia, the ZTE Open will now be available for the first time in Orange priced at $79.99 (£59.99) and will be unlocked to allow use on all mobile networks.
